Hi guys! Today I mention my disappointment of the month... I purchased this Effaclar Duo from La Roche Posay because I suffered from a bit of acne, not TOO much but you know, the kind of dirt you don't want on your face at all. As this has been mentionned millions of times on youtube & blogs, I thought I'd give this a go...

At first it was a really good product: in the morning it makes a great base, but as I have dry skin I couldn't apply it on its own. Even combined with a moisturiser, it made miracle on my skin and helped reduce large pores and blackheads. But after a week or so I realised it caused me new pimples on the forehead and cheeks! And this time let me tell you that even when I applied the Effaclar on these, they wouldn't go. I think they even got worse.

In the end I'm a bit sad about it, I think it has to be used with moderation; I don't really know what kind of pimples this cream focusses on, but definately not the ones I wanted to get rid of. I'm sure this works miracle on oily skin since it has a matifying effect, but if you have dry areas I'd try a sample first.

NUXE TRAVEL KIT

Publié par Sophie à 03:50 0 commentaires

I bought this Nuxe travel kit for a fair price (it only costs 12.40£ on Feelunique), and even though these are just minis, I must say I really enjoyed each and everyone of them. There was originally the NUXE BODY Gel Douche Fondant in its travel size in the kit, but I remember giving it to my mum for one of her trips so.. Cannot review this one I'm afraid! But I thought I'd give you my opinion on these beauties - most of them being completely empty on these pictures ;)

NUXE Reve de Miel Creme Mains et Ongles Hand and Nail Cream 15ml

I enjoyed this so much guys. Oh my God. This is the most non-greasy, nicely scented and repairing hand cream I ever tried! In spite of a very thick texture it doesn't leave any kind of weird film on your hands. I will repurchase it, as it was a real pleasure to use (even during the day, which is rather rare for a thick cream).

NUXE Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream 15ml

Now this cream was a very nice treat, it feels nice on the skin and provides a matt effect which makes it a perfect makeup base. I don't know if it is "anti-fatigue", but it has that cooling effect which is always pleasant in the morning. Anyway, I wouldn't purchase it right now as I found cheaper cream with the exact same effect... (Clue: Nivea)

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil 10ml

I never really liked oils for my face: I can't bear the greasy feeling it provides, I just CANNOT. Therefore this oil, which is known to be a must-have, just stayed in my samples' box for ages. One day a clever girl I know suggested me I should try applying it in my hair... And honnestly, that was the best.idea.ever. I was afraid (again) that my hair would turn into a giant greasy mess but it did NOT!! They were soft, shiny, and had this really lovely scent which is a big bonus. I'll buy another one, but I think this little bottle is going to last me for ages!

NUXE Eau Demaquillante Micellaire Aux 3 Roses Micellar Cleansing Water 35ml

In terms of makeup remover I'm faithful, I'm a Bioderma kind of girl. I never buy anything else, but I always need travel size to got to my dad or when I sleep at my boyfriend's house... I was actually surprised at how gentle this one is (fragrance and alcohol free), while being extremely efficient at removing makeup! If I had to change I could be tempted to buy this one, and as Nuxe often offers discounts well... ;)

PURITY made simple cleanser

PURITY - made simple cleanser by PHILOSOPHY

Tonight I'll introduce you to my all time favourite cleanser - which is also the first item I tried from the brand Philosophy. I ordered my second bottle via Strawberrynet.com along with teh cream Hope in a Jar - hated it. But Purity is comparable to... a dream. I love the soft scent, but the texture is the reason of my passionate love; it really is between a gel and a milk... Once your face is dry you really can tell that your skin looks all plump. Given the fact that I suffer of dry patches around my nose and forehead, this came as a small revolution; Purity seem to help treating those areas before I add a nice thick cream over it. The only bad thing I could say about this little gem is that it does not foam... Which is a bit disturbing at first but you get used to it, it quickly became an essential to me!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer

Moi content :)
Correcting Concealer healthy mix Radiance & Anti-fatigue

I rediscovered this little tube of awesomness recently because I've suffered from a bit of dryness around my eyes - I had to drop my solid concealer and found this in my bathroom, deciding to give it a try again. What a great idea! It isn't cakey and really brights up the eye - no need to use a Touche Eclat after that. I use the n°53 "dark radiance", which is as dark as I am (meaning, not at all) and fits perfectly. Even after a few months of neglect, I can say I'm happy about this little treasure ;)
